Doris Margaret Chorzempa, 84, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away March 4, 2010. She was born Mary 25, 1925, in Kearney, Neb., and was a 41-year resident of Nevada. Doris was married to Eugene for 46 years. She was employed as a telephone operator. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who received her greatest satisfaction in caring for her family. She leaves with us the ultimate gift, her legacy of faith. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Otto Lowell; husband, Eugene; and siblings, Jessie, Gladys and Robert. Doris is survived by her son, Thomas and daughter in law, Tiesa of Las Vegas; daughter, Janet Notarfrancesco and son-in-law, Adam of Mahwah, N.J.; six grandchildren, Tyler, Terrance, Tanya, Terah, Daniel and Brendan; one great-grandson, Mason; brothers, Mel, Cliff; and sister, Ella.
If you would like to remember our mom in a tangible way, the family requests memorial donations be made to Safe Harbor International Relief, PO Box 80820, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 to join efforts with her best friend, Marie, whose memoriam donations built a house for orphans. Please include "Marie's house/Kelly Stark in memory of Doris Chorzempa" in the memo section.
Love and Thanks from the family
Mom, Thank you for teaching me honesty and integrity, for having a strong sense of right and wrong, for doing your best to prevent me from making poor choices, and for loving and caring for me. Thank you for guiding me to the cross at Calvary and the peace, joy and security of knowing my future. I know you're in the perfect bliss of our Lord's presence and that I will see you soon. Would you mind making some lasagna when I get there? Love, Tom
Mom, Now that I’m a mom too, I understand in a deeper way your unconditional love and hard work in raising me. Thank you for all your years, tears, laughter, worry and always being there for me.
PSA 115:16 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Thanks mom for leaving me with the certainty of seeing you again.
Love Janet
