"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV)
James Earl Cammack Sr. was born on Sunday, October 31, 1954, to Charley and
Deola Cammack in Tallulah, Louisiana. He confessed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age
and was baptized at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor
C.R. Redden. James graduated from McCall Senior High School in 1972. Thereafter, James
enlisted in the military and became an active service member of the United States Marine
Corps where he was stationed in San Diego, California. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in
1975 and began working for the City of Las Vegas where he worked diligently for 31 years
until he retired. During this time James met and married Lisa Conway on September 19,
1986, where they shared 33 years of marriage and had three children. James spent most of
his time enjoying sports, a committed follower of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, NBA's Los
Angeles Lakers, MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers, and we cannot forget wrestling. Although to
some wrestling might not have been considered a true sport, but to James, no one was
better than the Junk Yard Dog -- and watching wrestling became a family event.
On Saturday, February 8, 2020, James was called to receive his wings. He was
preceded in death by his father Charley Cammack, his brothers Ronald Cammack Sr. and
Theodore Lindsey, and his nephew Cameron Cammack.
